The Chevrolet Volt can be the only car you own

Representing the EV phenomena, the 2011 Nissan Leaf is the first pure electric vehicle to be named a finalist. Powered by an 80-kilowatt synchronous motor that uses a 24 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, the Leaf is estimated to get 100 miles per charge.
